Eons ago, long before the Great War with Lensmoor, there lived an angel
named Agni Gabriella. Though Agni was born a mortal, she was blessed by a
great goddess of the Light and was capable of many supernatural feats. When
a cloud of evil loomed over Antrippa, the heavens parted and the Light
which shone down led Agni Gabriella to the Holy Sword, Adarna. Using the
legendary sword, that which evil hands may never touch, she cut a swathe
through the armies of darkness and brought about a great era of peace. Agni
Gabriella was known to the good people of Antrippa as both a hero and a
saint.
A day came when a fell wind began to blow across Antrippa. One of Saint
Agni's disciples betrayed her and turned her over to agents of evil. She
was burnt at the stake, martyred. The Holy Sword, Adarna, was shattered and
its pieces scattered across the world.
The Order of Adarna is a league of Knights that represent the spirit of our
beloved Saint Agni Gabriella. Antrippa is plagued by great evil, and so
long as it is allowed to roam unpunished, peace can never be attained. Our
mission is to defend the innocents of Antrippa and to preserve the sanctity
of the Light.
Becoming a Knight in the Order of Adarna is no simple task. Should you
aspire to take up a weapon in the defense of the Light, contact our
leadership. Our knights-in-training must learn and adhere to a strict code
of ethics, as well as pass several trials before their Accolade. A lot will
be expected of you, and no failure will be accepted.
An order of knights is nothing without its code:
Keep no excess, give Charity to those without.
Discipline oneself to control one's emotions. Temperance.
Show respect, even to your enemies. Humility at all times.
Show valor, and Empathy. Aid those in need of it.
Be Diligent. Never forget who you are, or what you strive to be.
Teach. Share what you know, and give Counsel to the ignorant.
Never deceive another. Honesty is the foundation on which this order is
built.
Be Courageous, and always be ready to lay down your life, whether it be for
a poor man or a king.
