'HOUSEBUILD' 'HOME BUILDING' 'HOUSE BUILDING' 'PLAYER HOMES' HOMES
Housebuild has been added as a way to allow players to build and modify
their own houses. There is a primary command, HOUSEBUILD, and subcommands -
all listed below.

* Housebuild buy <direction> - This buys you a new room. If it's connected
to a room you own, it can be in any direction. If connected to a city, it
has to be NWSE only.

* Housebuild decorate - Puts you in the editor and allows you to write the
description for your house and set flags.

* Housebuild object - Allows you to create ONE object per room. Keys count
as an object.

Once you make an item, you cannot go back to not having an item. You can,
however, always change the item to something else.

Items can be containers, furniturecontainers (like a desk), furniture (like
a chair), fountains, trash (generic) or keys. Everything except a key will
be automatically loaded into your room. Keys are created, as needed, with
the syntax: housebuild object create key.

* Housebuild exit - Allows you to configure your exit. Makes matching
changes on the other side too. You may need to edit the door to make it
lockable if you create a key object.

* Housebuild invite - Adds another player to the list of owners.

* Housebuild uninvite - Removes a player from your home.

* Housebuild transfer - Transfers primary ownership to someone else.

* Housebuild owners - Lists a room's owners if you're one of them.
* Housebuild set - Sets the room you're in as the one you recall to.
* Housebuild set clear - Will clear your home setting.

* Housebuild destroy - You can only destroy rooms that have one exit. (So
no taking the middle room out of your house) You get 750 platinum back when
you destroy a room.

Familiars/Pets/Charmed beings/objects will be destroyed if present within
any home/shop room that is destroyed.

All of these commands are based on the idea that a house has a primary
owner, who is the first owner listed in the owner list. They're the only
player who can change a room. Other people can be set as owners, but if
they're not the primary owner, they cannot make modifications.

The first five rooms will cost 1,000 platinum each. After that, the price
will go up 1,000 more for each further room (so, your 8th room will cost
4k). There's also an RP requirement. You can have up to three rooms without
having any RP points. To buy a fourth room, you need three RP points. To
buy a fifth room, you need six RP points. Only rooms for which you are a
primary owner count towards these restrictions. Please refer to HOUSEBUILD
COSTS for a chart of the platinum and RP required for each room.

Reminder: Houses are a privilege, not a right. If you choose an
inappropriate location (for example, putting your house inside one of the
mob's shops) it CAN AND WILL be taken away, without compensation. You may
build a home/shop from any HOMETOWN location. It is not permissible any
longer to build outside of HOMETOWNs. As well, anyone caught trying to
trick the system, by owning homes with alts (for example) to avoid the
caps, will lose all their rooms and their alts rooms, as well as further
punishment, as designated by the imms.

Home/Shop IMM Maintenance: If a char is purged the home/shop will
automatically be purged as well. If a char has a DONOR flag on it but has
not been online within the last year the home/shop will be unlinked from
game but can be relinked when/if the DONOR flagged char comes back.
Children do NOT inherit homes/shops as players are now in control of
ownership. If a parent owner is idle purged the house/shop does not go to
the children nor spouse. Ownership is the responsibility of the player
owner.

Room Accessibility: Under normal circumstances, only the owner may enter
private rooms that they own. But if the owner is in their private room,
anyone in a connected room can enter it if it is unlocked.
