#2: Sector-Based Critical Thinking

While most zones in the world of Lensmoor are created by the immortal staff, there are special ones known as known as a "hero castle" or "castle zone", these personal zones are created by players for players. At a scope and scale far beyond a player home or player shop, a castle zone is between 100 and 200 rooms, features NPCs, items, and anything else the builder wants to create.

In short, it is the ultimate expression of creativity on Lensmoor beyond roleplay, you actually make a permanent imprint on the game world.

A castle zone does not necessarily have to be a "castle", it can be anything in-theme and in-reason, but it should be in some way representative of the person building it. This does not mean an evil person must have an "evil" zone - their zone could be a goldie zone that their character opposes and is fighting, for instance.

CASTLE
Syntax: castle buy <direction>

This command allows a player to purchase a castle, a personal zone that is
built somewhere in the wilderness.

You must be level 91 and have at least 10 RP points to purchase a castle.
A castle costs 5000 platinum and 20000 quest points. You may only ever have
one castle per character. Castle zones are to be built only by people
wishing to attain hero/sage. You can check out help HERO and help SAGE
for more information about hero/sage requirements.

Castles are built using castle commands. Most castle documentation can be
found on the website at: http://lensmoor.org/hero_castle

Castle Chat (chat 1001) is the place to go for help.

Castles should be decent zones to explore. They should not be pk traps,
hideouts to avoid timers, treasure-troves for friends, or anything else
along these lines.

Remember castle building is not a right, and, if abused:

ANYONE FOUND EXPLOITING CASTLE BUILDING PRIVILEGES WILL LOSE THEIR CASTLE
ZONE, THEIR ABILITY TO HERO AND POSSIBLY EVEN MORE DRASTIC ACTIONS. IF YOU
ARE UNSURE IF IT IS LEGAL, ASK.

Please refer to the Lensmoor OLC Instruction Manual for details on the OLC tools for building your castle zone.

The castle zone is expected to conform to the standards of building on Lensmoor that the immortal staff have, and more. Each character may only ever have one castle and once the castle zone is completed it is put up for review by the immortal staff before being opened to the public; the zone must pass every aspect of review in order to be opened.

Your zone is able to be opened before you have met all requirements for hero/sage. However, they are not intended for general building. Do not make a zone if you have no intention of ever going hero/sage.
